|WELLNESS CARE FOR YOUR NEW PUPPY
When we accept a puppy into our household we also accept the responsibility for its health care, daily care, feeding, and training. The first and most important thing that you can do for your pup is to visit a veterinarian for a wellness exam., pet care information, and vaccine evaluation.
Your pupís life depends on this visit, since it is a ďSitting DuckĒ for deadly disease, parasitism, or improper care. A series of wellness exams, worm checks, and vaccine exposures are necessary for your pup to develop a protective immunity against several deadly diseases. These wellness visits occur every 3 weeks between the pups 6-8th week of age and the 14th week of age. Regular visits and multiple exposures to these vaccines are essential to maintaining health and development of protective immunity for your pup. Heartworm prevention, flea & tick preventive and proper nutritional plans are also recommended for your pup.
The following vaccination program reflects the current recommendations of the Vaccine Council of the American Veterinary Medical Association, product manufacturers, and Animal Medical Clinic to form your pupís protective immunity against deadly disease.
MOST PUPPIES HARBOR PARASITES THAT MIGHT BE HARMFUL TO PEOPLE SHOULD THEY COME INTO CONTACT WITH THE PARASITE EGGS. PUPS WILL BE DEWORMED AS A PREVENTIVE MEASURE, EVEN IF YOUR PETíS STOOL DOES NOT SHOW WORM EGGS.

REMEMBER THAT AN ANNUAL WELLNESS VISIT, PHYSICAL EXAM, HEARTWORM TEST, AND IMMUNIZATION BOOSTER ASSESSMENT ARE EACH NECESSARY TO MAINTAIN YOUR PETíS PROTECTIVE IMMUNITY AGAINST DEADLY DISEASES.
